Spring Into Something New Spring Into Something New

zoom_out_map

April is here—bringing with it April showers, tax season stress, and the occasional April Fool’s prank (hopefully just the harmless kind). But what’s no joke is how many professionals are quietly wondering, “Is this really it?” If traditional employment has started to feel like a never-ending rainstorm of burnout, layoffs, or lack of purpose, maybe it’s time to step out from under the corporate umbrella and explore a different path. This month, dive in and learn how business ownership can offer more control, fulfillment, and yes—even a little sunshine—on your career journey. Let’s make this the season where you water the seeds of possibility and watch something meaningful grow.

All my best,
Sara

Is Now Really the Right Time to Start a Business? Is Now Really the Right Time to Start a Business?

zoom_out_map

With rising tariffs, inflation concerns, and a shaky economic outlook, it’s completely understandable to feel hesitant about starting a business. Whether you’re considering launching a startup, buying an existing business, or investing in a franchise, the fear of “bad timing” can be paralyzing. But here's the reality: uncertain times often create the best environment for smart, intentional entrepreneurs to step in and thrive.

Tariffs and economic shifts don’t halt commerce—they shift it. Consumer needs change. Supply chains adapt. New gaps open in the market. That’s where opportunity lives. Startups can pivot quickly to meet these changing demands. Business acquisitions can offer immediate revenue and existing infrastructure. Franchises provide proven systems, brand strength, and built-in support—critical assets during uncertain times.

There’s a common misconception that you need to wait for the “perfect time”—when the economy is strong, life feels stable, and the path is clear. But perfection is a moving target. The most successful business owners aren’t the ones who waited for everything to align; they’re the ones who took a step forward, even in uncertainty, with a clear plan and support system behind them.

If you’ve felt the pull toward something more—more control, more purpose, more freedom—don’t let the noise of the world keep you stuck. Let’s explore what’s possible and create a plan that moves you forward, no matter what’s happening in the headlines.

Business Ownership Objection #3: "I Can't Afford It" Business Ownership Objection #3: "I Can't Afford It"

zoom_out_map

One of the most common concerns I hear from people considering business ownership is, “I’d love to, but I just can’t afford it.” At first glance, it sounds reasonable. Most of us don’t have tens—or hundreds—of thousands of dollars just sitting in a bank account waiting to be invested. But here’s the truth: thinking you need to pay for a business in full, upfront, in cash is a misconception. We don’t apply that same thinking to other major life investments like buying a car or a home—so why do we apply it to business ownership?

The good news is, there are many funding pathways available that most people simply aren’t aware of. During coaching, we explore those options together. From SBA loans to 401(k) rollovers (ROBS), lines of credit, and even partnerships, there’s a wide range of strategies that can make ownership possible without draining your savings. And if, after evaluating your current financial picture, it’s clear you’re not quite ready, we can identify what the requirements are and put a plan in place to get you there. You don’t have to have all the answers today—but you do need to be willing to explore.

“I can’t afford it” often becomes a default excuse that keeps you stuck, not because the money isn’t there, but because the vision and the path haven’t been made clear yet. That’s what our coaching relationship is all about—clarifying your goals, exploring your options, and helping you confidently move toward the life and career you want.

So if the affordability fear is holding you back, let’s talk. Not about what’s in your bank account today—but about the possibilities ahead of you, and the steps we can take to get you there.
