Tech Weekly News Update

The ParentSquare (PS) invites went out on Mon., and it appears that 97% of parents have opted in for phone texts. Only 29% of parents have downloaded the app, so please keep advocating for the app! Hopefully, things will settle down soon and you will have time to look at some of the training materials for PS. Please reach out with questions.

Chris and I are starting to work on adding the appropriate permissions to your user accounts. Many of you have emailed to let us know what you need to see. Thanks! Keep the requests coming in, and hopefully we will have everyone setup soon. Also, we are working to add other family members that are not in the SIS that need to get school communication. We have a meeting on Tues. with PS to help answer some of these questions.

After sending the post, click on the settings cog in the right corner. It defaults to allowing comments, so hover over comments and click on DISABLE COMMENTS if you do not want individuals to comment. If enabled, the comments are only visible to you and not all in the group.

You may notice that apps are not updating or that you can't access the App store. Apparently, there is an issue with the new board update. We have a put in a support ticket with Newline, so hopefully we can get that resolved soon. In the meantime, you can use the USB-C cable and a Chromebook or laptop to display web content.

HMH (MyFriend Ed) users, the app seems to be pulling the correct data now. If you have questions, contact Rhonda Young at the jr. high as she has been successful setting up all her science classes.

We have been notified that there are some issues with the Quizizz/Wayground program not showing students in classes. Please notify us if you notice any other issues. We are still working on Edmentum Study Island and Exact Path as well as the Accelerated Reader program. Hopefully, those programs will be up and running soon! As always, we appreciate your patience during these first few weeks of school. It takes a bit to get all these programs running smoothly. Keep reading our newsletter!
