Waikīkī School Parent Bulletin - March 19, 2026 Waikīkī School Parent Bulletin - March 19, 2026

Welcome to the Home Stretch!

Welcome back, families! We hope you had a chance to recharge and enjoy some quality time together. As we head into the fourth and final quarter of the school year, there is a distinct sense of excitement in the air. This is the season where all the hard work from the past few months really starts to click, and we couldn't be more thrilled to cross the finish line with your students.

A Fresh Start: The "On-Time" Resolution

To ensure every student gets the most out of their final quarter, we are focusing on starting our days strong. Consistent morning routines help children feel calm, prepared, and ready to learn.

As we kick off this new term, let’s make it a collective New Quarter Resolution to prioritize punctuality.

Here is a quick reminder of our morning schedule:

  • 8:00 AM: Students are expected to be settled in their classrooms. This is when the magic starts!

  • 8:05 AM: This is the official "tardy" cutoff.

Important Note: Any student arriving after 8:05 AM must report directly to the Front Office to receive a tardy slip before heading to class.

Why the 8:00 AM Goal Matters

Those first few minutes of the day are vital for:

  1. Morning Routines: Building community and social-emotional skills.

  2. Goal Setting: Reviewing the day's objectives so students feel confident.

  3. Reducing Stress: Arriving early gives students time to unpack and greet friends without feeling rushed.

We are so grateful for your partnership in making this school year a success. Let's make this final quarter the best one yet!

Sincerely,

Mr. Kusuda
