Dear Lemon Crest Families,

Tomorrow is also when we will have our extra recess for all Lemon Crest students who earned a positive office referral in the month of February! Keep up the great work, Lions!!!

Next Week, March 2nd to 6th, is Book Fair! We are so excited!

  • Flyers will be coming home in backpacks with information about the week. Students will come into the Book Fair on their library day, be sure to ask teachers when that is!
  • Friday, March 6th is a make-up day for anyone who needs a second chance to shop.
  • Also on Friday, we will open the Book Fair up to parents between 8 and 9:30am. Please check in to the office before coming to the Book Fair.
  • We suggest student's use Ewallets. I have shared a link on how to set up an ewallet for your student so that they can have a smooth cash-less transaction. Follow the link below for more information.
    • Ewallet Info - how to set up your Ewallet
    • Teacher Ewallets - If you want to help fund a classroom wish list here are teacher's ewallets. Don't see your student's teacher? Encourage them to make an ewallet and send it over to Mrs. Payne to be added.

  • Share The Fair is a donation link where parents can donate funds for other students who may not come in with enough money for a book. We use these funds when students come up short after tax or don't have enough to get a book. We appreciate your generosity.
  • Lastly, if you are able to help at the book fair I have a link to sign up below. We appreciate your help!! Volunteer!
  • For any questions please email our Librarian, Mrs. Payne at apayne@lsusd.net

At Lemon Crest, we want to keep growing stronger together as a school community. This year, we’re asking families, students, and staff to share feedback so we can celebrate what’s working well and understand where we can improve. We shared this in the fall (Sept/Oct), and will share again in the Spring (May) to track our progress and see where we can focus our improvement efforts! I'll also be putting this in our Family Newsletter at the end of the week. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! https://forms.gle/yKfFoQbaF78Mwd9q9

Contacting Teachers & Principal Price Contacting Teachers & Principal Price

If you have a question or concern about your child, we encourage you to speak with your child's teacher first. Please note that during the instructional day, teachers and staff may not be able to respond to your message, email or call since they are busy doing what they do best: teaching! Your child's teacher will respond to you when they are able. Thank you for understanding!

Contacting Principal Price:

  • Email: jprice@lsusd.net

  • Call the Front Office: (619) 390-2527 - The front office staff will take a message, and Principal Price will call you when she is available

  • In-Person: Call the office so Mrs. Whitehurst or Ms. Madina can help us set up a meeting so I can dedicate time to you!

Many of your questions may be answered in our Lemon Crest Family Handbook A-Z . We ask that all families read this.

Please know that there is a 24-48 hour "grace period" in my response time. When I respond, call or meet with you, I need time to get informed in order to have possible answers to your questions. I am prioritizing getting to know our students so I can support their success and am often not readily available in the office. Thank you for your understanding and support.
