From the Principal
Friday is Go Texan Day! Our students have been working hard on their dances and are so excited to perform for families. We love having parents on campus, but we strongly encourage you to leave your child at school after the performance. Even on fun days, we still have a lot to learn, and every lesson counts.
You’ll also see information below about a new March Madness math challenge — it’s going to be a fun way for students to build strong math facts!
Finally, please take a few minutes to complete the district survey linked below. Your voice truly matters. This is your school, and your feedback helps us know what we’re doing well and what we can improve. Your input helps us keep building a school our Austin families can be proud of.

March Madness is coming! 🏀
We’re launching a fun math competition, and your child can be a winner!
Students will compete using a bracket system (like basketball), and speed matters, so practicing facts at home will help a lot.
What to practice:
1st: Addition to 20
2nd: Addition & subtraction to 20
3rd & 4th: Multiplication facts up to 10×10
We’ll be using flashcards during the competition, so that’s a great way to practice at home.
Tip: The best practice is short and daily. Five minutes a day beats one long session!
Let’s get ready for some math madness!
