Principal's Corner
Dear Village Families,
As we begin a new semester and ring in a new calendar year II would like to wish a very Happy New Year to our Houston Academy Village. I trust you had a wonderful winter break with family and friends. As we celebrate this new year, 2022, it is always a great time for looking back to the past, but more importantly, looking forward to the coming year. It is a time to reflect on the changes we want, or need, to make and resolve to follow through on those changes. Therefore, as we begin 2022, I want to assure everyone that the high expectations in academics set from the beginning of the year will continue as we begin the second semester here in the Village!
Best,
CS

Dress Code
Please be advised that Dress Code is strictly enforced. While students are not required to wear a uniform this year, there are guidelines that must be followed. Young ladies ARE NOT permitted to wear leggings, jeggings, etc. as pants. Shorts for all scholars must be of appropriate length for school. Midriffs should not show when standing or when raising hands/arms. Please help us allow students to maintain the privilege of making fashion choices that adhere to the guidelines set forth in the district handbook.
On Campus COVID-19 Testing
Aldine ISD has partnered with the City of Houston’s Health Department to provide free on-campus COVID-19 testing to Houston Academy students and staff.
This test is non-invasive and a light nasal swab that will help detect COVID-19 quickly to help stop outbreaks early.
If you are interested in your child participating in the testing program, please click here https://aldinecovid19pcr.paperform.co/ to sign up and to consent. Once you complete and sign the consent document, your child is approved to be tested at any time the tests are given at their campus. This applies to staff members as well.
We are excited about this opportunity to help our students and staff remain well, and our schools safe to remain open. For more information, you can visit the City of Houston School Testing Program Website or contact the Health Services Department at 281-985-6955.
