A note from Mrs Tidd.... A note from Mrs Tidd....

Another successful week at Abraham Lincoln!

Students are getting in the groove of routines and expectations (even if we did have to practice walking in the halls without talking a couple extra times), we have our own students back on announcements, our first graders know how to get to their own classes and I listened to a class of fifth graders talking about how confident they are with multiplication - our teacher hearts are full!

The office team continued making the rounds around the 4th grade rooms this week to talk about bullying. We want to be sure we know what bullying is, how to stop it, and how to report it. If you have a fourth or fifth grader, check with your students to see if they can tell you the three characteristics of bullying (Repeated, Intentional, and Power Imbalance) and what we should do if we see it happening. Being kind may not always be the easy choice if others are being mean, but it is always the right choice.

Thanks for sharing your students with us!

Have a wonderful weekend,

Mrs. Tidd

Sra. Tidd

Panorama Survey Panorama Survey

Around August 24th, our students will be taking the Panorama survey in their classrooms. Students in grades K-2 will be answering the Panorama survey with the help of a classroom teacher, while students in grades 3-5 will answer questions on their own. The survey provides our district with valuable information that will help us better meet the needs of our students. If you would like your student to opt out of the survey, please contact Ms. Hickman, the school social worker, by this Wednesday, August 19th at 317-789-3829 or email her at ahickman@perryschools.org. You will find more information in the letters linked below!
