The 21:12 21 Young Adult Ministry is a new opportunity for young adults to gather in faith that is based out of St. Patrick's in Victor. In the spirit of past Women's Conferences in the Diocese of Rochester, Bishop Salvatore Matano renews his invitation to women ages 18+ in every walk of life to gather for a Women's Morning of Reflection. This reflection will be based on Pope St. John Paul II's letter that thanks, encourages and recognizes women and the genius of their God-given femininity. The National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM), through its Imago Dei initiative, invites a select group of young adults, serving in ministry, who represent the diversity of the U.S. Catholic Church to engage in a shared conversation on leadership and intercultural competency in ministry. Faithful Innovation: Encountering, Listening, and Discerning with Young Adults in the Parish Featured guests: Dr. Tracey Lamont and Dr. Emily Jendzejec, Loyola University New Orleans, in conversation with Paul Jarzembowski from the USCCB Secretariat of Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth. This conversation will focus on innovating at the parish level for ministry with young adults, through the processes of encounter, listening, and discerning. It will be rooted in the FIELD grant-funded project coordinated by Loyola University New Orleans.

Building upon the efforts of young adults several years ago, there is a renewed desire to grow Catholic young adult ministry in the Corning area. A core group of young adults have been informally gathering for faithful and fun experiences. There is a desire to welcome other young adults who want to live the Catholic faith. Young adults interested in being a part of this ministry are encouraged to reach out to Allison at nordman.allison@gmail.com.

8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT

Young Adult Evening Prayer

“TEACH” events do exactly that — teach. These sessions explore Scripture and the teachings of the Church. Keep in mind; this isn’t your momma’s CCD. Teach events should respect the needs and preferences of adult learners. Speakers and/or facilitators need to be engaging and the gathering space should be comfortable and appropriate.
