Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Survey
Research tells us that families significantly influence their children’s achievements through school and life. When schools build partnerships with families, respond to their concerns, and honor their contributions, they promote a range of benefits for students, including improved school readiness, higher student achievement, better social skills and behavior, and increased likelihood of high school graduation.
At the end of the 2021-2022 school year, the FACE survey asked families for feedback on their involvement and engagement at their child’s school.
We received 2, 180 responses (English-1,262 Spanish- 918).
Below are the survey results that will help us identify strengths and areas of improvement.

Bank of America Art Display
Vardeman EC/ PK - Ms. Sonia Pace's art students did a fantastic job with their "Jackson Pollock" artwork. It is a very attractive piece of artwork on the Community Wall in Bank of America, Greenspoint location. The PK Panda artists discussed and applied the techniques to a color theory lesson using two primary colors to make a secondary color.
The artist Paul Jackson Pollock was an American painter and a major figure in the abstract expressionist movement. He was widely noticed for his "drip technique" of pouring or splashing liquid household paint onto a horizontal surface, enabling him to view and paint his canvases from all angles.
These PK artists were able to imitate Jackson Pollock technique without splatting paint on the classroom floors.
Impact Leadership Academy
The Aldine Impact Leadership Academy invites parents to be part of the 100 Men Welcome at this new school on August 17, 2022, from 6:40 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. The goal is to have 100 males welcome the young men as they enter the campus on the first day of school.
