April'23 UPDATES

Our Clementi Centre hosted 'The More We Eat Together' event last week, where our children and their families gathered to break their fast with a scrumptious meal prepared by our in-house cook. To capture these precious moments, we set up a delightful photo booth. Take a glimpse at the snapshots that reflect the joy of being together!

An adventure-filled day for our Bukit Merah Center kids at Labrador Park - from spotting monitor lizards swimming in the swamp, to encountering free-roaming roosters, and even catching a glimpse of a magnificent peacock!

After all the excitement, the kids refueled with a delicious McDonald's lunch before hiking back to the centre. What a great way to bond and discover the wonders of nature!

Our young chefs learned the art of cooking over at Basilico Restaurant at Conrad Singapore Orchard. Our little chefs cooked a storm and whipped up delicious funky chicken parmigiana with crispy fries. The smiles on their faces say it all - a fun-filled day of cooking, creativity, and mouthwatering flavors!

Some parents of our children have been trained and employed by Children's Wishing Well to prepare Hot Lunch for the kids. This has been made possible through the Reach For The Stars (Adults) program, which aims to provide education, vocational or professional training to upskill parents, enabling them to secure better employment opportunities and higher wages.

Initially, these mothers faced challenges finding employment due to their limited English proficiency, lack of experience in cooking on a commercial scale, and not having food hygiene qualifications. We provided them with training, and with their experience at CWW, we hope that they will one day establish their own home-based business or secure employment at restaurants or F&B outlets.
