Principal's Weekly Update
Week of May 5-9
Administrator's Message πΎ
Dear Wildcat Families,
As we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, we take a moment to recognize the incredible dedication and impact our teachers have on the lives of our students. Each day, they inspire curiosity, build confidence, and guide our children through the joys and challenges of learning. Teaching is a calling that often goes unrecognized, yet it plays a vital role in shaping not only individual futures but the fabric of our society as a whole.
This week is also a reminder of the power of partnership between families and educators. When we work together, we create a strong support system that helps every child thrive. Please join us in expressing our heartfelt gratitude to the teachers who show up each day with patience, creativity, and unwavering commitment.
Thank you for helping us honor the educators who make a lasting difference.
-Ms. Rivera & Ms. Rockwell
Celebrating Our Community's Diversity
The cities of Fairfield and Suisun City are two of the most diverse communities in California. To honor that diversity, each week FSUSD will be sharing information about the cultures that make up our extra special learning community.
Jewish American Heritage Month is an annual recognition and celebration of American Jews' achievements and contributions to the United States of America during the month of May.
President George W. Bush first proclaimed the month on April 20, 2006, as a result of cooperation with Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA), as well as the Jewish Museum of Florida and the South Florida Jewish Community. Since then, annual proclamations have been made by Presidents Bush, Obama, Trump, and Biden.
In 2020 the National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia repositioned Jewish American Heritage Month to empower communities across the country to celebrate the inspiring history of Jewish people in America; educate diverse public audiences about Jewish culture; and spark crucial conversations about the American Jewish present and future.

High School & Beyond
Our school counselor. Ms. Escobar, had the opportunity to visit with all 7th graders during their PE classes. During the visit, they reviewed FSUSD graduation and A-G requirements, Career Technical Education Pathways ( CTE classes in high school), other options after high school, and the K-12 admission program offered at Solano Community College. All students also had the opportunity to complete a self-reflection assignment to reflect on their academic achievement and aspirations for next school year. We encourage you to review your child's self reflection assignment with them to support their academic success. Please review the links attached.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Ms. Escobar at victoriae@fsusd.org or phone at (707) 862-7448.
