The e~Funds for Schools service is offered to you by a third-party service provider and they charge for processing your payment(s), similar to other online banking services. The district does not request or keep records of family checking or credit card account information. Cash and checks will still be accepted in all three buildings.
Elementary parents, please note that elementary milk money will not be able to paid through e-Funds. Please bring cash or check to the Elementary.
The e~Funds for Schools electronic payment service is provided to the school by a third-party service provider. The service provider has a nominal fee for their service. There is a $1.75 transaction convenience fee for each electronic checking payment that you make. The system carries a Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) charge if the payment is “bad.” For payments made by credit or debit card, there is a convenience fee of $2.95 per each $100 increment in the transaction. New Staff
Jen Schroeder - 2nd Grade
Hi! My name is Jen Schroeder. I’ve been a second-grade teacher at York Elementary for the past 10 years. My husband, Greg, and I live in Geneva, where we've been raising our two children, Grady and Karsyn. Teaching is my passion, and I feel incredibly lucky to help young learners grow every day!
I’m looking forward to meeting more people in the community and having the opportunity to work with the kids here. I’ve seen and heard such wonderful things about Fillmore Central, and I’m incredibly excited to begin this next chapter in my journey.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and reading.
Macy Scott - 6th Grade Science & Social Studies
My name is Macy Scott, and I was born and raised in Geneva, NE. I grew up going to Fillmore Central Public Schools, and I’m incredibly excited to return as an educator in the district that helped shape who I am today. This summer, I am getting married to Dakota Wilkins, who is also a Fillmore Central alum! Dakota and I have two dogs together who keep us busy.
What excites me most about teaching at Fillmore Central is the strong sense of community. Having grown up here, I’ve experienced firsthand the supportive environment that makes this district special. It’s an incredible opportunity to work alongside teachers who once taught me. I look forward to learning from them and contributing to the team. I’m eager to build relationships with students and families while helping shape the next generation in the same community that shaped me.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love going on walks with my soon to be husband and our two dogs. I love golfing, even if I just ride in the golf cart! I love trying new coffee shops and strolling the isles of Target! Staying connected to the community is important to me, so I always enjoy attending local events and supporting Fillmore Central activities.
Shaunna O'Brien - TYKE Teacher
My name is Shaunna O’Brien. I live on a farm by Geneva. I have two daughters, Brielle and Ashton. Brielle is married to Brad Ricenbaw, and they live in Friend with their two children, Ryder and Reese. Ashton is married to Matt Loseke, and they live in Fairmont with their first baby due in November. I love to spend time with my family and friends, go camping, and read books.
I have been teaching preschool for 33 years. The first 15 years were at my own private preschool, and the last 18 have been with TYKE Preschool. I still feel the excitement walking back in the door every year. I look forward to being a part of the Fillmore Central team!
Kristi Most - TYKE Teacher
Sadie Jones - Kindergarten
I’m Sadie Jones. My husband, Brandon, and I have loved living in Geneva with our two boys, Levi and Bennett. We enjoy spending time at the lake, having family movie nights, and playing with our dog Creighton. I grew up in Minden, attended UNK for undergrad, and Doane for my masters. Although I’ve been teaching 2nd grade at FC for the last 5 years, I previously taught preschool at Friend Public School. I am so excited to grow professionally in this new position.
Teaching in the same building that my own kids are in, is a blessing I don’t take lightly. Fillmore Central is full of amazing colleagues and students that I continue to learn from and grow with. I’m also looking forward to using my most recent training, LETRS, while teaching reading in the kindergarten setting.
I love to spend time crafting, watching good shows and movies, being around people that I care about, and reading so many great books.
Amy Rust - Elementary Secretary
Hi! I’m Amy Rust. I’m originally from Lincoln, NE. I live in Geneva with my husband, our three children and two dogs. I will be going into my seventh year at FC Elementary. Six years as a health para and this is my first year as secretary.
As a para, I worked in certain classrooms and interacted with those students and staff daily. As secretary, I’m excited to be able to see every student and staff member as they walk in and be able to greet them!
In my free time, I like to read, watch any sporting event, especially my kids, stay active and spend time with my family.
I’m very excited for this new journey!

Welcome to the 2025-26 school year! I am excited to get this year started. This will be our last “normal” year for a while as once construction begins, there will be lots of changes taking place. It will be hectic for a while, but it will all be worth it in the end. With that being said, here are a few items to keep in mind as we kickoff the new school year.
Staffing
For the 4th year in a row, we do not have any changes to our staff. We feel very fortunate that our staff is committed and dedicated to working with kids and committed to being part of FCHS!
Locker Sign Up/Packet Pick Up
Students may stop at school anytime between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm on August 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th to sign up for a locker and pick up their packets.
9th Grade/New Student Laptop Check out
9th grade laptop check-out will be on Tuesday, August 12th. We will be holding two sessions. 9th grade students whose last name begins with the letters A-L will meet in the high school Library at 1:00 p.m. 9th grade students whose last name begins with the letters M-Z will meet in the high school Library at 2:00 p.m. New students to the district will check out laptops on their first day of school. These sessions will last approximately 30 minutes.
ICU
This year will mark the 5th year that we will be using the Power of ICU program. As a reminder, this program is essentially a communication tool designed to help ALL students complete ALL assignments with quality, and in a timely manner. This program is not perfect, but it has made a positive impact on student learning and I am excited that we can continue with the communication tool.
Second Chance Breakfast
We will once again be offering breakfast between first and second period each day. This opportunity has been well received by our kids and we are happy to be able to offer this program. We will be offering more variety in our breakfast program this year as well.
School Supplies
As has been done for the past several years, all necessary school supplies will be made available to students.
Cell Phone Policy
By now I am guessing that many of you have seen the new board approved electronic device policy. This will be explained in detail to students on the first day, but in short, the new policy is essentially that students may not have electronic devices (cell phones, smart watches, ear buds, etc.) during the school day.
Athletic Practices
Organized practices for all 9th – 12th fall athletics will begin on Monday, August 11th. Before your child may practice, your child’s physical must be uploaded and all necessary forms must be completed in FinalForms. The necessary forms are listed below.
