Mock Interviews
On Monday, our junior and seniors had the opportunity to participate in mock interviews. Students met with members of the community for a speed-dating style interview, where students rotated through multiple interviewers for brief, structured sessions.
Our students were able to go through the process of what an interview is like and get feedback on how to refine their communication and professional skills.
Thank you to the community members who volunteered their time and to Mrs. Houston for organizing. We look forward to hosting this event each year!
Mobile Lab
Five Akron students are continuing to explore their career pathways with nursing classes through NJC. This week students had the opportunity to experience clinicals in a mobile lab setting right here in the school parking lot. The lab is set up much like a doctor's office, allowing the students to perform CPR, blood pressure and properly moving patients.
