Good Morning Memorial Families,
It hardly seems possible that we are turning the calendar into November, which launches us into a very busy time of year. Next week is a bit of a different schedule, due to a half professional development day, parent-teacher conferences, and the Veteran’s Day holiday. Please note:
Monday 11/7: Normal Day of School
Tuesday 11/8: Early Release at 12:10pm Professional Development for Teachers
Wednesday 11/9: Early Release at 12:10pm. Parent Teacher Conferences
Thursday 11/10: Early Release at 12:10pm. Parent Teacher Conferences
Friday 11/11: No School Veteran’s Day Holiday
Parent teacher conferences are a great time to take a pause and check in on how your child is progressing as we enter into the third month of school. Your child’s teacher is preparing information to share with you, and we hope that you will share your hopes and perspectives with your child’s teacher as well. If you have not scheduled a conference yet, please make sure to reach out to your classroom teacher. On that day, others are available to conference as well, so please feel free to connect with any educator who works with your child to touch base if you would like to. I hope that you will all find the time you spend together is meaningful and helpful for your family.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful week, and that you enjoy the beautiful weather for Halloween tonight!
Warmly,
Wendy
Halloween Parade: Monday October 31st
We will hold our annual Halloween parade on Monday, October 31st at 9:20am. Students will exit the building and parade around the entire exterior using the sidewalk around the school. Parents should plan to arrive after arrival time (after 9:05am), and should stand around the building in the road.
Raise Craze Begins November 1st!
Keep your eyes out for more information around Raise Craze - a unique, easy and fun way for students to spread Kindness within our community and also raise money for the school! The fundraiser will run from November 1-15th with the funds being collected for new flexible seating options in classrooms, new recess toys & other cultural arts programs at the school! Fliers on how to sign-up will be sent home early this week with your students!
