MENTORSHIP
This month, the resilience trait of the month is mentorship!
WHAT IS MENTORSHIP? Giving or asking for support, guidance, training, or expertise.
Mentors help you to learn and grow. Imagine if you were trying to build a tall tower with blocks, and someone who had built towers before showed you the best way to do it. That’s what mentors do; they share their ideas, help when things are challenging, and cheer you on as you learn new skills.
The Invisible Boy by Trudy Ludwig
Justin is a great leader in the classroom. He showed kindness to Brian and included him in the group project. Justin is a great example of a leader inside the classroom and in the school community.
Each month, Resiliency Florida features one of the 11 key Resiliency Characteristics as the Characteristic of the Month. Resiliency Florida is proud to provide resources for parents and teachers to start the conversation about overcoming life's inevitable challenges with their students. Help your student become resilient, go to BuildResiliency.org today!
