Glenwood
This Week's Scouting Report
Thursday November 6, 2025
Glenwood Families,
Please remember to sign up for our Parent / Teacher Conferences - and save the date for our upcoming Open House.
On Tuesday, our 5th grade students from all four elementary schools will participate in the Media Veteran's Day Parade beginning at 11:11 am. Friends and families are welcome to cheer us on as we parade down State Street. Temperatures are predicted in the high 40's. Attendees - including 5th grade students - please remember to dress warm - coats, hats, gloves encouraged!
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Mrs. Christa Consadene cconsadene@rtmsd.org.
Parent & Guardian Survey
Rose Tree Media is in the process of updating our elementary standards-based progress reports to ensure they clearly communicate student learning and reflect best practices in reporting student progress.
Your perspective is important to us. We invite you to take a short, 3 question survey to share your thoughts and experiences with our current progress report. This survey will close on November 30th. Your feedback will help guide updates that make these reports more meaningful and user-friendly for families and students. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey by clicking here.
Outdoor Recess
Friendly Reminder: We try to go outside as much as possible (weather permitting!)... next week's forecast is showing colder temperatures on Monday and Tuesday... please ensure your student is dressed appropriately. Also - be sure to put their NAMES on ALL items you send to school (hats, coats, lunchboxes, etc.)!
Glenwood Happenings
Jr. Optimist Club Candy Care Candy Drive:
The Glenwood Jr. Optimists are participating in the Annual Delaware county CandyCare Drive again! Please remember to bring in some of your Halloween candy which will be given to the homeless at various local shelters and food pantries, including Life Center Shelters in Delaware County, the West Chester Food Cupboard, Angel Food Pantry, and more. This year we are hoping to make our BIGGEST candy collection ever! No donation is too small, every single piece of candy is truly appreciated! Please drop your candy in the boxes outside the main office. The collection will run through Friday November 21st!
Wall of Honor
Glenwood would love to honor a veteran in your life. Students will all be given stars and are asked to write the name of their veteran(s) on the star. They may also attach a photo (if you would like the picture returned, add your student's name and homeroom teacher on the back). Additional stars are available if needed. Students may then add their star(s) to the Wall of Honor, which is located outside the Library throughout the month of November.
OPEN HOUSE
We will recognize American Education Week November 17th - 21st. During this time, we hold an Open House, inviting parents/guardians to experience a short "day in the life" of your student. This event is adults-only, since it will be during instruction we cannot allow siblings or younger children. This is also intended for Parents/Guardians... our Grandparents/Special Friends Day will be held in the Spring. All visitors will be asked to sign in upon arrival, you do NOT need to have Clearances on file to attend. Due to space limitations, we ask only two guests per student.

Holiday Support for Our Families
As the Thanksgiving and Winter holidays approach, we know this season can bring both joy and challenges for many families. Our school community is here to help ensure everyone has the support they need. If your family could use assistance with food or other resources during the upcoming months, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Support will be provided confidentially. We offer food store gift cards and boxed items for Thanksgiving. For our Winter Holidays, we can support families in organizing holiday gifts for their children.
