For the safety of our students, staff, and families, we would like to remind parents that driving in the bus lane and dropping students off at the Donaldson Drive entrance is strictly prohibited. This area is designated for buses only and is heavily utilized during arrival and dismissal times, with active bus traffic, a crosswalk, and staff members entering the building. Unauthorized vehicles in this space create significant safety concerns.

We kindly ask that all parents use the designated drop-off and pick-up loops located across Donaldson and off Shiawassee. These areas are specifically designed to ensure a safe and efficient arrival and dismissal process for everyone.

We greatly appreciate your cooperation and continued efforts to help us maintain a safe environment for our entire school community.

On January 13, 2026 The DAR of Genesee County awarded Emma Flack with a certificate and a medal for her essay "Lunch with a Signer." This competition required students to attend to the following prompt: America will celebrate her 250th birthday on July 4, 2026! If you could go back in time and meet one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence for lunch, who would you choose? How did their actions and service contribute to our Country becoming independent. Adalyn Creguer and Quinton Allen also participated in the essay contest. David Flores was the winner of the video contest with the same topic. On February 11, 2026 we learned that David is the winner of the Statewide Grade 7/8 Contest. He has been invited to attend the DAR State Award Day luncheon April 17, 2026 in Lansing with one guest. He will receive a state winner certificate, medal and a check. David also earned 2nd place honors in the VFW Patriot's Pen Essay Contest! Congratulations to all!

AST will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays directly after school in the media center and will end at 3:15 with bus pickup scheduled for 3:25 PM. A completed permission slip is required for students to stay for AST. The permission slip is a Google Form that parents must fill out. Click the button below to access the permission slip!

2026-2027 REGISTRATION IS HAPPENING! Here is the schedule for class registration for the incoming & outgoing AGS students -

- Wednesday, 2/19 - FHS counselors register 8th grade in their Social Studies classes

- Friday, 2/27 - 6th grade registers in their Social Studies classes

- Tuesday, 3/10 - 6th grade registers in their Social Studies classes

- Wednesday, 3/11 - AGS counselors go to State Rd to register 5th grade

- Thursday, 3/12 - AGS counselors go to Tomek to register 5th grade

- Friday, 3/13 - AGS counselors go to Tomek to register 5th grade

I am excited to share that while my title has changed, my role remains the same.
