Pack Leaders' Post
Happy Easter!
We'd like to take a moment to wish all of you a joyful, peaceful long weekend. This time of year is a wonderful reminder of renewal, growth, and fresh beginnings—both in nature and in our classrooms. With spring now in full swing, we’re looking forward to a busy and exciting season ahead, filled with learning, special events, and opportunities to come together as a school community.
We’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Parent Action Society and amazing parent volunteers who have generously given their time and energy to support our hot lunch program this year. Students were loud and clear telling us they wanted it back and you made it happen! Your efforts make a real difference for our students, and we’re so grateful for your continued involvement. We'd also like to thank our Parent Action Society for donating casino funds towards some new shelving in our library and the new display in our Gathering Area!
Next Wednesday is Administrative Professional’s Day - a day to recognize the continued efforts of our amazing office staff, Mrs. Janke, Mrs. Eyben and Mrs. Boychuk! We are incredibly fortunate to have a dedicated and hard-working office team that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. If you have a chance, I encourage you to join us in expressing appreciation for all they do.
Wishing you and your families a happy Easter and a wonderful long weekend!
Your LLR Team

Newsies - THIS WEEK!
Class Considerations for 25-26
In the coming weeks, we will begin the process of creating class lists for the next school year. This is a carefully planned and thoughtful process that requires considerable time and attention to detail. We work hard to balance a variety of factors, including academic needs and social-emotional considerations to ensure each student is placed in the most supportive environment for their learning.
As in past years, we will not be taking classroom or teacher requests. Thank you for your understanding as we work to create a positive and productive learning environment for all students.
EIPS Board of Trustees - Thank You Volunteers!
National Volunteer Week takes place April 27 to May 4. On behalf of the Board of Trustees at Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS), I want to say a giant thank you to all EIPS volunteers. This year’s theme is Volunteers Make Waves, and that’s certainly true in our Division. No matter whether you’ve chaperoned a field trip, helped out at a hot lunch day or provided support in a classroom—every time you’ve stepped in a school—you’ve made a ripple effect that washes over your community. These waves of positivity, hard work and dedication build up and make a momentous impact on a student’s experience at school.
So, thank you again for being a part of our ocean at EIPS. The waves you’ve made—and will continue to create—all contribute to our collective goals of ensuring learning and working environments sustain student learning and amplifying the importance of public education in our province. This National Volunteer Week, I encourage everyone to celebrate the hundreds of volunteers and thousands of hours put into supporting student growth and achievement at schools across the Division.

Collegiate Pathways
The Division is working to find ways to incorporate collegiate courses in science technology engineering and math into high school grades and especially in grade 12 where they are working on partnerships so that students in all our high schools are able to get dual credit for certain subjects. Dual credit means the credits they take are good for grade 12 graduation as well as first year university. All high schools will be offering some programs so please check with your high school to see what they're offering or what other high schools are offering because students are able to take these courses the other high schools during the school day. Opportunities are available for students entering or returning to Grade 12 in the fall. For students entering grades 10 or 11 next year, the available information will help with course planning throughout senior high.
