Deer Run Back to School Newsletter

Thank you for attending our back-to-school events! It was wonderful to see so many of you as we kicked off the year together. Our students and staff enjoyed a fantastic first week of school, laying the foundation for what promises to be an amazing year ahead.

We’re excited to continue the celebration at our PTO Back-to-School Bash this evening from 5:00–7:00 PM on the Deer Run blacktop and playground area. We hope you’ll join us for this fun school event!

As a reminder, drop off and pick up for all students should take place at the back door of the school. Last school year, students were being dropped off at Grizzell, in the school parking lot, and in the neighborhood adjacent to the school. We want to ensure that all of our students are safely dropped off at school, therefore only the backdoor area should be used. Also, we also want to be considerate of our neighbors that live in the homes adjacent to the school. Therefore, adhering to this guidelines is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Curriculum Night will take place the evening of Thursday, September 4, 2025. The event will be in-person and it will provide an opportunity for parents to engage in grade level content activities.

Parents with students in grades kindergarten, first, and second grade will attend the event from 5:30 - 6:20 PM.

Parents with students in grades third, fourth, and fifth will attend the event from 6:25 - 7:15 PM.

All parents will receive information about the topics that their child will be learning about this year. This information will be sent out in classroom teacher newsletters the Friday following Curriculum Night.

We are excited to have our PTO Sponsored Back to School Bash on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 5 - 7 PM.

The PTO has booked a DJ and two inflatables for students and families. Tortilla, Holy Crepes, and Kona Ice food trucks will also be attending and available for purchase.

Students are to attend the event with their parents as this is not a drop off event. Thank you!

Reminder: High School Redistricting Information Session – August 26

Join us on Tuesday, August 26, from 7–8 p.m. for a Zoom webinar on the high school redistricting process. Superintendent Dr. John Marschhausen and Matt Cropper of Cropper GIS will explain how enrollment trends, feeder patterns, transportation, and future growth are analyzed before draft boundaries are created.

The Zoom link will be posted on the morning of the event on the Dublin City Schools Redistricting webpage.

If you are having issues accessing Infinite Campus Parent Portal, please reference the tutorials and frequently asked questions on our website.For help with password resets, adding parents, updating contact information, and missing students , please contact the building your student attends.

All student absences need to be reported in writing.
