Dear Nova Classical Community,

We collaboratively completed a new strategic plan last year to help us align our mission and our resources to go forward together. As we start this next chapter, it is crucial that ALL students are included. This year, during our big fundraising event on Give to the Max Day, November 16, we are asking for support for our inclusive programs and to improve our students’ sense of belonging on our playground and field space.

Towards this goal, we are raising funds to put towards:

  • Uniforms, activity, and field trip fees for families of demonstrated need

  • A new buddy bench for our playground

  • A scoreboard and signage on the turf field to enhance our sense of school pride and community

Please stay tuned to our social media (Facebook and Instagram) on Give to the Max Day where we will post incentives for grade-level groups to win special prizes and privileges, including community-building games.

As a public charter school in Minnesota, we rely solely on state and federal funds, unlike neighborhood districts that have the option to levy local taxes to address rising operational expenses. In fact, we receive $6,900 (38%) less per student compared to the traditional neighborhood district, all while striving to provide a college-preparatory education to every student. We do our best to achieve more with less and are reaching out to you for support.

If you find yourself in a position to donate to Nova Classical Academy on Give to the Max Day, we would greatly appreciate your support as we work to continue our efforts as Minnesota’s leading provider of Classical Education.

To me, Nova Classical exemplifies how a school can deliver a great education to students by breaking away from the model that is often seen in traditional public schools. I'm proud to be part of a team that has created such a standard of excellence.
