Enrollment for the 2026 - 2027 school year is currently open. Raytown Quality Schools follows a centralized enrollment process, which starts online (raytownschools.org) where you will submit online registration through FOCUS, and is an individualized process for each student. All students must live within the school district boundaries and submit the required documents to the Residency Office by uploading them into the parent portal.

Our student information system, FOCUS, now offers a mobile app for even easier enrollment. Search RQS FOCUS in your preferred app store and download for free. You can also enroll online (no app required).

Failure to fully enroll by August 17 could prevent your student from being placed in a class for Meet-the-Teacher Night. Below are simplified directions for enrollment. Click here for Residency and Enrollment information.

The FOCUS Online Enrollment system is based upon the individual student enrollment and will require you to upload your enrollment documents for each individual student in your family. Before you start the enrollment process, please review the tutorial video and make sure you have collected the following documents to upload into FOCUS in order to complete your enrollment application.

1. Government Issued Photo ID

2. Proof of Birth - New Students Only

3. Immunizations - New Students, Kindergarten, 8th, and 12th grade.

4. Residential Information - Mortgage Statement or Property Tax, Lease Agreement and a current Utility Bill - Water, Gas, or Electric.

5. Form2/Blended Families must upload all information of the homeowner, and one document that attaches you to the home along with the Form2 Affidavit.

ALL ENROLLMENT DOCUMENTS MUST BE UPLOADED INTO FOCUS IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THE STUDENT ENROLLMENT APPLICATION.

All new family enrollments that register will need to submit the required documentation through the parent portal to validate their profile.

**If you already have students in the Raytown School District and would like to add a new student, this option is available once you log into your existing parent portal.

Enroll by August 3rd for Bus Transportation

Families who live outside the Parent Responsibility Zone must complete the online enrollment process on or before August 3rd in order to be routed on a bus. Families who reside within the Parent Responsibility Zone will be responsible for transportation to and from school.

All enrollments completed on or before August 3, 2026, will be used to establish transportation routes. Once routes are established for the beginning of the school year, they will not change for two weeks. During this time, we will assess route efficiency. Failure to enroll before August 3, 2026 may result in your student not having a bus assignment for the first two weeks of school. Thank you for enrolling early to ensure your child is fully prepared for the first day of school.

For those who enroll after August 3rd, please make alternative arrangements for transportation for the first two weeks.

You may call the district transportation number, 816-268-7170, should you have any questions.

Applications for free and reduced meals should be completed by the parent or guardian only.

Households that were automatically approved were notified through a letter sent by their school.

We only need ONE application for all the children that attend schools in the same school district.

How am I eligible?

Eligibility for free or reduced-priced school meal benefits is based on any one of these 3 things:

  • Your total household income and size
  • Your child's individual status as foster, homeless, migrant, or runaway
  • Participation in an assistance program by any member of your household

U.S. citizenship, immigration status, or absence of a SSN does not affect your eligibility to receive benefits.

Getting Started Checklist

  • Review the Income Eligibility Guidelines for the 2026-2027 school year.
  • If you are a participant of any assistance program, have your case number ready.
  • If you are not a participant of assistance programs, gather income documentation for all members of your household.

Note: To avoid losing your progress, please use the application's navigation buttons or navigation menu instead of your browser’s Back and Forward buttons.
