Bond Update - December 14

Henrietta ISD Families - I am thrilled to share progress on the voter approved bond with the final touches being made on the track and it should be ready to open in January!

In addition, the construction to the new high school is set to start after the Christmas break around February/March. We are so excited about this project and having all our students in close proximity to one another. With this new construction comes some changes to the tennis courts. Look for that new construction to be starting after the Christmas break too!

I hope you have a great break with family and friends. Merry Christmas!

Jaime Clark
Superintendent of Schools

Henrietta ISD

Track Updates Track Updates

The track is currently closed because it is receiving the top layer of the track surface. After the layers are poured and have time to cure, they will begin the striping of the track lines. This is scheduled to happen right around Christmas Day. If the weather allows, the track will reopen at the beginning of January.

We are making great progress on the design of the high school and Bearcat Stadium. The architect shared new renderings with the Board at the November Board meeting. I am excited to share some of them with you!

The Henrietta ISD community overwhelmingly approved a $36 million investment for a new high school and improvements to athletic facilities on May 4, 2024.

Henrietta ISD Superintendent Jaime Clark stated, "I am so excited for the future of Henrietta ISD and the opportunities these facilities and upgrades will provide our students for generations to come.”

Board of Trustees President Brad Yurcho conveyed gratitude, stating, "This success began many months ago with a community-led Facility Committee of parents, staff and community members who met to ensure all students in Henrietta ISD continue to have access to modern classrooms and innovative programs..”

With voters approving both propositions, the projected tax increase is 23 cents per $100 valuation. This tax rate will still be lower than the 2022 tax rate.
