Queen of Apostles School
Term 2 Week 3 - Thursday 7 May 2026
Prayer
Dear Lord,
We thank You for the gift of mothers, for their love, guidance and care.
Please bless them with Your grace, strength, and wisdom as they continue to nurture and support their families.
Surround them with Your love and peace, and let them know how deeply they are appreciated and cherished.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen
At Queen of Apostles, we are incredibly fortunate to have a strong, collaborative and supportive relationship with our Parents and Friends Association. The partnership between home and school is something we value deeply, and our P&F continue to play a vital role in strengthening our community and enhancing opportunities for our students.
I would like to sincerely thank the P&F for their ongoing support of the school. Their recent contributions to the Community Garden project have helped bring this initiative to life, creating a space that will benefit our students and community for years to come. In addition, their funding of new classroom furniture in our Year 3 classroom has now completed the revamp of furniture across the middle and upper primary, significantly improving our learning environments.
This Friday 8 May, the P&F will once again bring our community together through their Mother’s Day events, including the stall, raffle and breakfast.
We look forward to seeing our community come together to celebrate the important role that mothers and mother figures play in our lives.
Thank you again to our P&F for their generosity, commitment and the spirit of community they bring to Queenies.

CEWA Religious Education Framework – Visible in Our School
We are pleased to share that our new Religious Education Framework is now visible within the school, with a display installed near the library. This framework guides how we teach and live our Catholic faith at Queen of Apostles, placing Jesus at the centre of all we do and encouraging learning through dialogue, reflection and meaningful relationships.
A sincere thank you to Ms Lesque and Mr Rob for organising and installing the display. It is a wonderful visual reminder of our Catholic identity and the important role faith plays in the life of our school.

We invite families to donate non‑perishable food items to support this cause. All donations are due by Friday, 5 June.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity in helping those most in need.

Volunteers
The Government of WA have amended the Working with Children Act last year with the changes implemented to better protect children. Catholic Education WA has mandated this process for all volunteers, including parent volunteers in schools. This includes parents who wish to volunteer at sports carnivals, in classrooms and at P&F events. Could we ask that all parents fill in the Volunteer Declaration (link) even if you have no plans at this stage to volunteer at school. Parents who wish to assist teachers on excursions will need to be on this list. Your information will be stored securely in accordance with CEWA’s Information Stewardship. We highly value parent volunteers' time and contribution to our school community and thank-you for taking the time to submit the form below.
Any grandparents that wish to volunteer in the classroom or assist in the canteen will need a Working With Children Check. Please note this does not include drop off, pick up or attendance at our Grandparents Mass and Morning Tea. Grandparents that would like to volunteer at school, please contact the school office and we can assist you in the process.
