Blake Rock

Blake comes to school every morning with a smile on his face. He is eager to learn and volunteers answers during our class discussions. He is a responsible leader who does the right thing even if no one is watching. When asked to do a task, I know Blake will always do his best. He is a hard worker who is prepared for class. His classmates enjoy being Blake's partner because of his kind heart and "win/ win" attitude.

Nominated by: Mrs. Harris

Kasey Verrill

Kasey Verrill is my nominee for Student of the Month. She is a kind and respectful friend. When a classmate needs help she goes out of her way to help out. Kasey is a good friend to everyone around her. Several times this year I have seen her stop what she was doing to comfort a classmate when they were upset. She tries her best on all her work in class and participates in class discussions. We are lucky to have Kasey in our class.

Nominated by: Mrs. Kilburn

The Sensory Trail: Engaging Minds and Bodies

By Adrianna Ballinger, Nora Rinehart & Liam Rissman

We have a brand new sensory path in the hall at school. Many kids experience stress and the sensory path is a good way for kids to get rid of some of that stress. It is a good way for students that need a little extra movement to get it in a safe way.

Making Our Voices Heard!

By Adrianna Ballinger, Nora Rinehart & Liam Rissman

Our Student Senate is always looking for ways to improve our school culture. During our lunch the Ryan Elementary Student Senate meets with Mrs. Bucklin to plan out a variety of events in our school. We have one representative from every classroom. Each Student Senate Members gets ideas from their class and then brings them to our Student Senate meetings. This month we came up with our Holiday Door Decorating contest, our Holiday Dress-up days and we also had a Hot Cocoa Bar one day after recess.
