Even if the weather hasn't quite caught up, fall is officially in the air! Over the past few weeks, Friday Night Lights have brought our community together in the best way possible. Beyond the game itself, these Friday nights are a powerful display of student talent, from our athletes and musicians to our spirit squads and broadcasting crew. Watching our students and community stand united to support the Titans is incredible. I am deeply honored and proud to be part of this community

Safety Drills

Student safety is our top priority, and we are dedicated to preparing our students for any situation. Over the last few weeks, we practiced our emergency procedures with both a fire drill and a lockdown drill. We also held a homeroom lesson to ensure all students understand the five postures of the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) and the actions to take in each scenario. If you or your student has any questions around safety and security, please reach out to their advisor.

We also have two fantastic SRO's, Officer Iranfar and Officer Naro on the Legend Titan staff. We are thrilled to have them in our building supporting us.

Certified Service Animal

This letter is to inform you that a certified service animal will be present in our school to assist one

of our students/staff members as an accommodation. The handler of the service animal is

protected under the ADA and has the right to be accompanied by the animal.

We kindly ask that you refrain from petting or touching the service animal, as it has specific tasks to

perform for its owner.

To ensure a smooth integration of the service animal into our school routines, we will be conducting

information sessions for all students and staff members. These sessions will provide guidance on

the proper procedures regarding the service animal.

Thank you for your understanding and support. Should you have any questions or concerns, please

do not hesitate to contact us.

October Count - 10/1

Dear Parents and Families,

As we move into the fall, we want to highlight a critical date for our district: Thursday, October 1, 2026. Student count day is the official date each fall when Colorado school districts record their enrollment numbers, which the state then uses to calculate per-pupil funding for the year.

The state determines our funding based on three factors around this date: your student's active enrollment, their scheduled instructional time, and their daily attendance. To ensure our funding is accurate, the state evaluates attendance specifically on October 1st and during the standard two-week window encompassing the week before and the week after Count Day.

How you can help support our schools:

  • Make Attendance a Priority: Please make every effort to ensure your student is present and engaged in their learning on Thursday, October 1st.

  • Keep the Momentum: Consistent attendance throughout the entire two-week window surrounding Count Day is strongly encouraged to ensure accurate state reporting.

  • Communicate Absences: We understand illnesses and emergencies happen. If your child is sick, please notify our attendance office right away. Proper documentation allows us to navigate state exceptions if a student must miss the exact count date.

Parent Teacher Conferences - 10/1

We invite you to attend in-person Parent-Teacher Conferences on October 1st, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the gymnasium.

  • Time Limit: To ensure every attending parent has the opportunity to speak with teachers, individual conversations are limited to 5 minutes.

  • Extended Discussions: If a teacher feels a more detailed conversation is needed, they may reach out prior to the event to arrange additional time before the in-person meeting.

More information will be sent out when we get closer to the date.
