It is truly amazing what we can accomplish in just one week! Our fifth and eighth grade students showed off all they have learned in science in our last round of State Assessments. On Thursday, our fourth graders led us in at Mass. It was a beautiful way to begin our Earth Day celebrations in our faith families. Our students worked together after Mass with indoor activities to celebrate God's great Earth. Thank you Mrs. Watson and the staff for making sure we were able to celebrate even with the rain.

We also were able to celebrate the life of Sophia Velasco's mother, Sara Stockton, with a tree blessing by Fr. Marcos and the fourth grade class. The tree will be planted in Sara's honor outside our Kindergarten classroom. May this tree serve as a living tribute to Sara's memory. May Sara rest in peace eternally with our Lord and Savior.

The students were able to finish the week with the Hornet Hustle Glow Run! Thank you PTO for organizing this fundraiser to help support the teacher and library fund. We are so grateful for all the donations. It is always great to see the students having fun for a great cause!

We look forward to showing our appreciation next week to our parents with donuts and coffee Tuesday morning and our wonderful volunteers on Thursday at our weekly Mass at Holy Cross Church.

Miss Grace Nielsen has displayed patience and perseverance in our Transitional Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten classroom over the past two years. She has helped our littlest Hornets prepare for their Kindergarten year. We are so grateful for all her hard work and dedication to our school. She will be missed as she moves on to her next adventure. Thank you for everything, Ms. Grace!

Miss Anna Blase has touched the lives of all her first grade students this year. She has shared her many talents with us including her devotion to our Catholic faith. Miss Blase's presence in our community will be missed greatly. We know she is destined to do great work. Many Blessings, Miss Blase. We will miss you!

Reminder! On Friday, April 26th, Holy Cross STUCO team will be having their annual spring fundraiser, the BAKE SALE, before and after school!!! We ask that all baked goods be delivered on Thursday, April 25, or Friday, April 26, to Mr. Wright's classroom.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will be going toward a STEM-related assembly next year. We are asking all desserts to be packaged either by the dozen or wrapped individually. If you are baking anything WITH NUTS, please clearly mark each bag. Home baked and store bought treats are welcome.

On Friday, all baked goods will range in price from $1 to $5, so please bring your money Friday to support STUCO and Holy Cross! The bake sale will also be available after mass April 27 and 28.

Your participation in this very important fundraiser is much appreciated. We anticipate it will be our most successful bake sale yet!
