Greetings Killeen Elementary School Families!

We are thrilled to welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year! The entire Killeen Elementary team is excited to begin another year of learning, growth, and joyful memories with our students and families.

📅 Meet the Teacher Night
Join us on Thursday, August 7, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM for our annual Meet the Teacher event! Class lists will be posted in three convenient locations on the downstairs floor:

• 🪟 Cafeteria windows (near Door #9- Back parking lot)
• 📚 Library windows (near Door #1- Front of School)
• 🏫 Middle of the main hallway

This is a great opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, explore the campus, and get ready for a fantastic school year!

* Students who do not have a completed registration, will not be assigned a class prior to Meet the Teacher. We ask that all parents have all completed form by tomorrow August, 6, 2025 in order for a teacher to be assigned. Our office is open from 8-4 to support your registration needs. *

🚪 First Day of School – August 13, 2025
Our doors will open at 7:00 AM, and we can’t wait to greet our students! On the first day only, parents will be allowed to walk their children to class to help ease the transition and celebrate this special moment.

🔒 Safety First
To ensure the safety of all students and staff, please note the following updated procedures:

• 🎒 Clear backpacks are required for all students.
• 🚨 All visitors and students will be screened through a metal detector upon entry.
  • If the detector alerts staff, a search of personal belongings or a screening with a handheld wand will be conducted.

We appreciate your support and cooperation in keeping our school safe and welcoming for everyone.

As of August 1st, parent requests for teachers are no longer accepted, as all registered students have been placed in classes and classes have been leveled out,

As we gear up for the new school year, here’s your Ultimate KISD Clear Backpack Guide:

Fully clear or see-through mesh backpacks

Small brand or school logo okay

Colored or patterned straps okay

No colored transparent backpacks

No stripes, patterns, cartoon characters, or large logos

No padded backs or linings

Athletic and spirit bags are allowed but must be stored in lockers or designated areas when students arrive.

UPDATE: Please reach out to your child's campus for questions concerning certain backpacks.
