News from Troy 30-C News from Troy 30-C

Thank you to all the families who participated in the Illinois 5Essentials Survey. This data is vital for our district and school continuous improvement plans. This year, we exceeded 20% parent participation in every building, ensuring we will receive a comprehensive parent data report.

As we reach the midpoint of March, I want to express my gratitude for your unwavering hard work and dedication. Our classrooms and hallways have been vibrant with energy, from the very first day of school to the remarkable growth we see in our students every day. I look forward to carrying this momentum through the remainder of the school year.

Spring Break is Monday, March 23 through Friday, March 27. Whether you are traveling, exploring our community, or enjoying a quiet week at home, I hope this time provides a much-needed opportunity to rest, recharge, and enjoy moments with family and friends. We look forward to our students returning from break on Monday, March 30.

Dr. Paul Schrik

Superintendent of Troy 30-C

Notes from the Nurse

Spring is just around the corner! Soon, there will be blooming flowers and budding trees, and a lot of allergies. Please monitor your child for common allergy symptoms like sneezing, a runny nose, and watery eyes. Remember that allergies do not cause fevers. If your child's allergy symptoms do not improve with treatment or they develop a fever, check with their physician for additional treatment options.

National Junior Honor Society at TMS Surpasses 1,000 Books!

At Troy 30-C, we believe that community service is a cornerstone of student leadership. Today, we are proud to spotlight the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) at Troy Middle School for their incredible efforts in organizing a recent book drive to benefit Bernie’s Book Bank.

Through the collective generosity of our TMS families and staff, our students successfully collected over 1,000 gently used children’s books. These donations will provide essential reading materials to children across the region, fostering a lifelong love of learning beyond our own classroom walls. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to our TMS NJHS members for their coordination and to our entire community for helping us reach this impressive milestone. Together, we are making a tangible difference, one story at a time.

Freezing for a Reason!

Big thanks to the Troy Craughwell community for raising $1,200 for the Special Olympics!

To celebrate hitting our goal, several of our brave staff members, and even one student officially took the Polar Plunge. We are so proud of their chilly leap and even more grateful for your generosity in supporting these incredible athletes. Way to go, Craughwell!

TMS Choirs

The Troy Middle School choirs had an incredible showing at District Contest! All groups earned Division 1 ratings, qualifying them for State Contest on April 25 at Westmont High School.

A perfect score is 7, and the lowest score we received was an 8—an outstanding achievement for our students! They represented Troy with excellent performances, respectful behavior, and leadership throughout the day, even volunteering to help run the event.

TMS Girls Volleyball Team

Congratulations to the Troy Middle School Girls Volleyball Team on their 2026 Brooks 8-4A Regional Championship!

Wrestling Team IESA State Finals

The Troy Wrestling Team competed at the IESA State Finals held at NIU in DeKalb. The team delivered an incredible performance, with several wrestlers battling through tough competition and three athletes advancing to the championship round.

Two Troy wrestlers captured State Champion titles in their weight classes, making it an exciting and unforgettable night for the team. Troy finished the tournament with an impressive 4th place team finish!
