Springdale K8 Community Memo

As we head into the final week of school, I want to take a moment to thank our families and community for another incredible year of partnership and support. The success of Springdale K–8 is built on people who care deeply about kids, and that commitment is evident every day.

A special thank you goes out to the many staff members, volunteers, families, and community partners who helped make our 6th Grade Camp such a memorable experience. Opportunities like camp remind us that learning extends beyond the classroom and that our students thrive when surrounded by caring adults.

We also invite everyone to join us for our Final Family Night Out on June 15 at 6:00 PM. This will be a fun opportunity to celebrate student success, connect with one another, and learn about our Summer Charger Check-In Program.

Thank you for helping make Springdale a place where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired. Let's enjoy these final days of the school year and celebrate all that we have accomplished together.

Help your child stay sharp and connected this summer! Students who participate in our Summer Charger Check-In Program will receive learning activities, attend fun check-in sessions, and have the opportunity to earn a special Splash Down Waterpark field trip in August. Join us at Final Family Night Out on June 15 to learn more and get signed up.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the incredible team of staff, volunteers, parents, and high school mentors who helped make this year's 6th Grade Camp such a meaningful experience for our students. Special recognition goes to Mrs. Moss, Ms. Smith, Mr. Baker, Mr. Moss, Mrs. West, Ms. Williams, Xandria, Jim Gintz, Mike F, Rodger H, our high school leaders (Tyson, Colt, Sky, Hope, and Jaiden), Dustin and his camp staff and the many others who generously shared their time, talents, and energy throughout the week.

At Springdale K–8, we believe student success is a community effort, and 6th Grade Camp was a perfect example of that partnership in action. Because of your support, our students were able to build confidence, strengthen friendships, develop leadership skills, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for investing in our children and helping make Springdale such a special place to learn, grow, and belong.

Pre-school and Kindergarten registration is now open at Springdale K–8! We are excited to welcome our newest Chargers and invite families in our community to help spread the word to those with preschool or kindergarten-aged children ready to begin their school journey.

Families who already have a Skyward account can simply log in and add their new preschool or kindergarten student through their existing account. Families new to the district should select “New Registration” to create an account and begin the enrollment process.

Current Springdale K–8 students do not need to re-register each year, as returning students will automatically roll over and complete their annual first-day paperwork in the fall.

We look forward to partnering with families as we continue building a caring, supportive, and student-centered school community where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.

As we near the end of the school year, we are excited to celebrate and support our 8th grade students through several special transition activities. On June 3rd, students will visit the high school for a transition tour and orientation experience where they will learn about classes, activities, expectations, and opportunities awaiting them next year. Then on June 15th, we will celebrate students during our daytime 8th Grade Promotion and Certificate Ceremony at 8:30 AM before sending them off to one of the most anticipated traditions of the year — the Silverwood and Boulder Beach celebration trip. These events are designed to recognize the growth, perseverance, friendships, and accomplishments of this special class as they prepare for the exciting journey into high school.
