Jamming with the Pros π·πΆ
This week, our middle and high school musicians are participating in the Annual Wenatchee Jazz Workshops β learning from professional jazz artists and taking their skills to the next level!
For a quarter century, this incredible program has brought professional musicians into our schools to work side-by-side with students, teaching them advanced techniques, improvisation, and what it truly means to be a jazz musician.
What makes this special: π΅ Hands-on learning from professional jazz artists π΅ Students experience real-world musicianship π΅ 25 years of inspiring the next generation π΅ Building future-ready students through the arts.
Our musicians have spent the week soaking up every moment β asking questions, jamming with the pros, and discovering what's possible when you pursue excellence in music. And tonight, they get to show what they've learned. π
π· Jazz Nights Concert π Tonight | 7:00 PM π Wenatchee High School ποΈ Tickets available at the door or online
Come cheer on our students as they share the stage and the spotlight. This is real-world, relevant learning in action β and these experiences don't just build better musicians, they build confident, creative thinkers ready to tackle any challenge.
Here's to 25 years of jazz, and to the next generation of artists learning from the best.

Donna is no stranger to the Mission View community β she has served as Assistant Principal for the past five years and brings a deep commitment to students, staff, and families.
Donna will step into the role as beloved principal Jeff Jaeger retires at the end of the school year. We are so grateful for Jeff's years of dedicated leadership and everything he has poured into Mission View and the Wenatchee community.

Help Design the Future of Wenatchee High School
We're seeking individuals to serve on the WHS Design Advisory Committee β a group that will work directly with architects and district leadership to help shape critical design decisions for a new Wenatchee High School.
But wait β why are we designing before the bond vote?
Great question, and it deserves a straight answer. Beginning design work now β before November's bond election β serves our community in several important ways.
It takes the guesswork out of what we put on the ballot. By working through real design concepts with architects before November, we can develop a much clearer picture of actual costs. That means when a number goes on the ballot, it's grounded in real plans β not estimates built on assumptions. You deserve to know exactly what you're voting on.
It gives voters a real picture of what they're voting on. Rather than asking the community to say yes or no to a concept, we want voters to see a thoughtful, community-shaped design before they cast their vote. No surprises. No blank checks.
And most importantly β this is your school. Wenatchee High School belongs to this community. The people who fill its hallways, cheer in its gym, and send their kids through its doors every day should have a hand in designing what comes next. This process ensures the new WHS is functional, purposeful, and built for the way Wenatchee learns and lives β not just a cookie-cutter building handed down from a design firm.
If voters approve the bond in November, early design work also means construction can begin sooner β protecting against rising construction costs and putting your tax dollars to work more efficiently.
This is not a done deal. The community will have the final say in November. This process is about making sure that when you vote, you're voting on something you helped create.
What's at stake in these design decisions? π Keep the gyms, pool, and auditorium β or include them in a rebuild? ποΈ How should the building be positioned on the existing site? π What spaces and features will best serve students and the community for the next 50+ years?
Committee Details π
~6 evening meetings (6:00β8:00 PM) starting mid-March π Work directly with Integrus Architecture on design concepts π£οΈ Bring your unique community perspective to the table π Applications due March 4, 2026 >> APPLY NOW
We're looking for diverse voices β parents, students, staff, alumni, business owners, taxpayers, and community members who can commit to this important work.
Can't commit to the full committee? Public input sessions and design meetings will be available throughout the spring β everyone will have a chance to weigh in.
This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity. Wenatchee High School has served this community for more than 50 years. Help us design what the next 50 years will look like. Your voice matters. ππ
