Attention Parents
We are making a shift in our school psychologist role for this school year.
Kacie Schugel will be moving into the school psychologist position for the upcoming school year. Kacie has been a huge asset behind the scenes, supporting a number of systems and structures to ensure all students at Rice Lake thrive. In addition to her systemic work, she has been an excellent special education teacher. Her previous role will be filled by a special education teacher who student-taught alongside Kacie at RLE, making them a fantastic fit for our team.
We are thrilled to have Kacie in this role supporting all of our kids, staff, and families.

District News
Centennial Forward: Understanding the Plan
Maintaining strong schools requires both high-quality learning experiences and safe, well-functioning facilities. Watch the Centennial Forward overview video to understand the two separate questions voters will consider November 3, what each would support and why the district is bringing them forward now.
Why are there two referendum questions?
Minnesota school funding rules require different sources of funding for different needs. That is why Centennial voters will see two separate questions on the November 3 ballot.
- Question 1, an operating levy, would support the people, programs and services behind student learning and daily school operations.
- Question 2, a facilities bond, would fund construction, renovation and major improvements to school buildings.
The questions address connected needs, but voters will decide each one independently. See a side-by-side explanation at isd12.org/centennial-forward.
