❗❗If you are dropping your student off after 7:55 AM, they must be accompanied by a parent and signed in through the main office. If your student is leaving prior to dismissal time, a parent must sign them out through the office. ID may be requested at secretaries discretion.

Upon dismissal from school, students must leave the building and playground and are to go directly home except bus students who will be going to their respective buses. Students should not be sent to the office to wait for parent pick-up after dismissal time.
Along with our new website, we now have a brand new way to contact you for attendance. If your student is on our attendance list and we have not heard from you, we will now send out an automated call. When you receive the call, all you have to do is call us at 605-787-5295 or email us at MeadePVEOffice@k12.sd.us.
***Absences will be unexcused until we receive a call or email from the parent or legal guardian to excuse the absence. Please contact us no later than 3:30pm the day of the absence***
Please remind your students that all cell phones and smart watches must be turned off and stored in their backpack during the day.
Page 18, under the Personal Items heading, the PVE Student & Parent Handbook states...
"CELL PHONES ARE TO BE TURNED OFF AND STORED IN STUDENT BACKPACKS. IF A STUDENT IS USING A CELL PHONE DURING THE SCHOOL DAY WIHTOUT PERMISSION, THE PHONE MAY BE PLACED IN THE OFFICE UNTIL A PARENT PICKS UP THE PHONE."
The drop-off area of school is one lane only. There is NO passing lane. Please refrain from pulling out of line to pass other cars that are still waiting.
Please adhere to the crossing guard's directions and follow their directions to proceed or stop.
We want our kiddos to get here/go home safely each day. We appreciate your help in making this happen!
