News from 2nd Grade!

Dear Families-

In Math second graders have begun working on Unit 7, which focuses on adding and subtracting in the thousands. In Literacy we continue working on learning about nonfiction texts and text features. In the next few weeks we will be wrapping up our phonics instruction by completing assessments in spelling, dictation and writing samples to show student growth in these areas. Finally, in Social Studies we will finish up the year learning about Map skills and in SEL we continue to work on our final building wide focus on kindness. With the end of the school year just around the corner, the media center has closed and all library books are due. Please send any library books your child has at home back to school with them as soon as possible.
