October 2025
News from Dr. E
Dear Jefferson Families,
Can you believe the first quarter is coming to a close in less than two weeks? This means we are in the middle of our season of school. Routines are set and we are in the midst of our standards. When you meet with your child(ren)'s teacher, you might want to ask the following:
Academic Progress
-
“How is my child doing compared to grade-level expectations?”
-
Ask about strengths, areas needing improvement, and how your child performs in reading, math, and other key subjects.
Work Habits & Classroom Engagement
-
“How does my child approach learning tasks and participate in class?”
-
This includes attention, organization, motivation, and willingness to contribute.
Social & Emotional Development
-
“How does my child interact with peers and handle challenges?”
-
Inquire about friendships, collaboration, problem-solving, and emotional regulation at school.
Support & Next Steps
-
“What can we do at home to support what you’re working on in class?”
-
Ask for specific strategies, resources, or routines that will help bridge school and home learning.
A child's educational journey is a partnership between home and school. We are in this together and we can't wait to share the progress your child has already made this year. As always, if you have questions or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out.
One Proud Principal,
Dr. Tami Eshleman
