Principal's Update

How are we looking ahead to Thanksgiving next week? Time really does fly when you are having fun. Classes are fully settled and routines are established. We also know that this can be both an exciting time and a time of uncertainty for some students and families. There is never any judgement. Please always reach out to your child's teacher, our school counselor, Mrs. Balfour, or myself if you are in need of any assistance. We want to help ensure a happy holiday season for all of our families in any way we can.

Thank you to all our Veterans and families who were able to attend our assembly this past week. Our hope is that even if they don't fully comprehend it now, someday, they will look back and remember and understand the importance.

A few additional items to note looking ahead:

Our core value focus for November is ACTING RESPONSIBLY. At our last assembly, we discussed what this may look like in school. For example: a calm body in the hallway, completing classwork on time, focusing on eating while in the cafeteria, and staying in your seat while on the bus, to name a few.

There are some special events coming up in the next few weeks- please be sure to thoroughly look through our Thursday folder, classroom newsletters, and if you are on social media, be sure to give our Facebook a follow.

Thank you for your continued support and involvement. We had tremendous support around our recent fundraisers and are so appreciative of the community support.

We have transitioned from Talking Points to ReachMyTeach as a two-way communication platform that makes it easy to connect families through the languages they speak and the devices they use every day. This platform will also allow families to communicate directly with classroom teachers effortlessly through text, email, or WhatsApp, on-demand video interpreters, and scheduled conferences.
