A Note from Mrs. Miranto and Dr. Pray

As the vibrant colors of fall settle in and the end of the first quarter nears, we want to take a moment to thank you for your continued partnership and support. October has been a month full of learning, growth, and community spirit.

Marking Period Updates:

Grades will close on November 7th and report grades will be available on Parent Portal shortly after. Students who are currently taking Music, Art, Health or FACS will switch into a new exploratory. New schedules will be delivered to student's homerooms on the first day of Marking period 2.

Academic Updates:

Teachers have been working diligently to provide engaging instruction. As we move into the second quarter, we encourage families to check Schoology/Eschool regularly and reach out with any questions or concerns. Together, we can ensure every student feels supported and challenged.

Social-Emotional Needs:

Middle school is a difficult time for students to navigate. Please talk to your child about the pressures of social hierarchy, respectful behavior, peer pressure and reinforce acts of kindness towards all. If your child is struggling, please reach out to their counselor Mrs. Hawkins (8th grade), or Mrs. Vecchio (7th grade).

Upcoming Events:

10/31 Halloween

11/10 Marking period 2 begins

11/11 Veteran's Day (no school)

11/19 Early Release, students are dismissed at 12:45 PM, lunch is still provided

TNT Fun 🏈 TNT Fun 🏈

Last week students participated in spirit themed days and spent all of Friday having fun to honor the tradition of TNT! The day started off with a pancake breakfast with their team, followed by activities both inside and out. Around noon we went outside to cheer on the car parade, and ended the day with our very own NTMS Pep Rally. Each team played games such as tug-o-war, scooter shuffle, musical chairs, pizza box knockout and we ended with a staff mascot race. It was so great to see each team cheering on their classmates!

Meet Our Cafeteria Crew! 🍕 Meet Our Cafeteria Crew! 🍕

Each day our cafeteria staff prepare multiple healthy options for our student lunches. New this year are deli wraps, salad toppings bar and a variety of fruit options. Every day there is a hot main entree item, chicken patty, hamburger/cheeseburger, salad and PB & J. Our kids have loved the variety.
