Bemis Broadcast

Dear Bemis Families,

What an unexpected start to the school year! Our students have already shown so much flexibility as they have learned and practiced two different safety procedures on the spot! Last week, we experienced a Shelter in Place due to an injured deer on the playground, and today, students practiced using our tornado shelter locations...not to mention the eventful dismissal!

A huge thank you to our families for your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we navigate these unexpected situations. And a very special thank you to our incredible students and staff. Our students followed directions so well, and our staff remained calm, flexible, and focused on keeping everyone safe. I truly could not be more proud of our team and our amazing Bemis Bears!

We also had such a wonderful turnout for Curriculum Night this week! It is always a great opportunity to connect with our families, strengthen our partnership, and share some of the incredible learning and experiences planned for our students this school year. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

Please also plan to join us for our first PTO meeting next Friday. PTO meetings are a great way to learn more about upcoming events, hear what is happening around Bemis, and find ways to stay involved in our school community.

Please join us for the September 2026 Bemis PTO meeting!
