Registration Update

An update on registration for our current families:

  • Superintendent Anderson asked all families to register at their new school by last Friday, March 13th in order to get financial assistance from the diocese. This seems to fit with the deadlines at Santa Catalina and Palma. For each one of these schools, families should apply to Clarity and the diocese will take into account what these schools are granting
  • However, many students and families are still exploring their options and there are a few schools open to those options
  • St. Francis is willing to extend their deadline even further and are working with families who might still be interested.
  • York is also still working with interested families and has published these guidelines.
  • Monte Vista Christian has reached out and will be presenting to students today about their opportunities, too. They are willing to expedite the admissions process.

I'm grateful for the flexibility of these schools. This is a stressful time for our Spirits as they search for a new home, some of them for their senior year. Students are continuing to shadow and visit schools. We encourage them to keep exploring their options!

Go Spirits!

Alumnae News

So many of our alumnae have reached out to us at ND, expressing deep sadness about the school’s closing, while also generously sharing the stories and memories that shaped their lives. Again and again, they speak about how their time at ND helped make them who they are today. Former teachers have also connected with us, reflecting warmly on their years at Notre Dame and the lasting impact the school had on them as educators and mentors.

We have been especially touched by the dedication of our extended ND family—nuns, alumnae, and former staff members—who are traveling from out of state to be part of the celebration of Notre Dame. Their commitment reminds us just how deeply loved our beautiful school is, and how profoundly it has shaped generations within our community.

One particularly special connection comes from the Class of ’66, the second graduating class in the history of ND. This remarkable group has remained close throughout their lives, proudly calling themselves the “Lucky Ladybugs.” At their yearly gatherings, they wear jeweled ladybugs on their clothing as a joyful symbol of their friendship and shared history.

In honor of Notre Dame’s final graduating class, the Lucky Ladybugs of ’66 have planned a heartfelt and meaningful “gift.” It is a beautiful gesture from one generation of ND women to another—a reminder that while the school may be closing its doors, the spirit, sisterhood, and legacy of Notre Dame will live on through all who were part of it.
