Summer School Information

Hello Tatanka Families,

Thank you for registering your students for our credit recovery summer school. This is a great opportunity for your student to recoup their failed credits. We will be enrolling students in one course at a time to ensure on time completion. As students finish a course if time allows they will be enrolled in an additional course. Students are expected in person each day, June 3-27th from 8:30-1:45, Monday-Thursday. This expectation is to ensure we are able to provide them the in-person support in order to successfully complete their class with a passing grade. Students will have access to their course outside of school hours to work on idependently. This would be helpful if they’re trying to complete more than one class during the credit recovery summer school. Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day for students.

Bus Transportation:

Please have your students ready by 7:15am, Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th. Specific route times will be established after Tuesday, as we will be sharing busing with Wolfcreek.

Athletics - Summer Workouts and Camps

Summer workouts, summer camps, and open gym/weight room are open to all returning and new incoming LTHS students for the 2024-2025 school year. A completed registration packet and updated athletic physical are required.

Summer Workouts

Elevate Performance training group will work with our students to do strength, speed, and agility training for all registered LTHS students. Beginning June 11th-August 2nd, every Tuesday and Thursday, with two(2) session time options each of those days; 9-10am and 10-11am. Students will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the school. If students need a ride during the summer school days, this could be arranged by calling Francis Big Crow at 605-441-9117 in advance. Keep in mind this transportation option will only be available during summer school dates and students will have to stay throughout the summer school day for transportation home.

June 3-5th at Chadron State

Dance Camp:

June 27-30th in Loveland, Colorado

Open Gym & Weight Room

LTHS gym & weight room will be open daily from 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday for current and incoming students. Students will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the school.
