WAIS UPDATE

Dear Families,

We’ve reached the end of our fourth week of school, and what a journey it has been! It’s amazing to see how quickly the students have settled into their routines and how much they’ve already accomplished in such a short time.

Your support and encouragement at home have played a crucial role in this smooth transition, and we deeply appreciate your partnership in your child’s education. Together, we’re creating an environment where every student can thrive, both academically and personally.

As we move forward, we’re excited to continue this journey of learning, exploration, and growth. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or just want to share a success story. We’re here to support you and your child every step of the way.

One fun event that is coming is our annual Flicks on the Field. Please make sure to join us for this event on Friday, September 13 at 6:00.

We are also in the process of planning for our upcoming field trip to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. This is an all-school field trip, and we would love help from our parents. The date of the field trip is October 8th, and our volunteers will help chaperone our students through the museum and also experience the museum themselves. Please fill out the form below if you are willing to volunteer that day. More details to come to those that volunteer. We only need a certain number of volunteers per grade level, and it will be a first come first served basis. The number of volunteers for each grade is as follows:

• 8 for pre-k

• 6 for kinder

• 5 for 1st

• 5 for 2nd

• 8 for 3rd

• 4 for 4th

• 5 for 5th

• 4 for 6th

• 4 for 7th

• 4 for 8th

The school starts at 8:00 a.m.

The school Ends at 3:40 Tuesday-Friday

The school ends at 1:40 on Mondays

Please bring the kids to school on time and pick them up at the end of the day on time. Every second of learning is crucial to the child's success! Please try to plan for appointments after school ends.

September 13: Flicks on the Field. PTO will sell tickets on Tuesday and Wednesday after school. Also PTO sells tickets on Friday for the show.

September 21: Homecoming Parade

September 23-27: Spirit Week

October 2 and 3: Parent / Teacher Conferences

October 8: All school field trip to Denver Museum of Nature and Science
