Common School-Wide Expectations

At WCES we hold common school wide expectations for our campus. These expectations are for everyone in the building. Our common school wide expectations are taught and practiced regularly. We also celebrate and recognize effort by staff and students in the area of our common school wide expectations. Classes earn compliments on a Compliment Chart for working hard to meet these expectations. Individuals earn Positive Office Referrals for showing excellence in meeting or exceeding our school wide expectations. Below are the common school wide expectations for WCES. Please join us in encouraging your students to meet these expectations daily.

Mindet Matters

The links below contain wonderful information about growth mindset. The first link is to an article by the author of the book Mindset, Dr. Carol Dweck. The second link is to a site devoted to resources for growth mindset. Mindset Kit contains an educator area as well as a parent resource area. The final link is to a teacher's site. She has developed resources to support growth mindset in students. Enjoy these resources as we dive into the second semester and continue to focus on understanding and developing growth mindsets.
