100 Reasons “We Love Reading”
Let’s celebrate reading and tell our students why we love reading. If you have not filled out a heart please do so. This is such a simple way to encourage students to read. Supplies by the sign in sheet and LLC.
1. Choose a red or pink heart.
2. Write a reason you love reading and your name on the heart.
3. Put the completed heart in my mailbox.
4. We’ll add it to our “We Love Reading” board.
Need Assistance -collaboration, read aloud, book talks, reader’s advisory, makerspace projects, extra set of hands, mental moment, etc.
Counselors' Corner
Dear Teachers,
Thank you for all your help the other week with National School Counselor Week! Thank you all for your responses about the information you would like to see in our Counselor Corner. At our district counselor meeting, we wanted to share an idea about a family yoga night presented for test stress during testing. Other information shared was a tip about responding on social media in light of the recent events going on. Due to the FERPA( Family Education Rights and Privacy Act) we are not to post any information regarding current or former students at our school. Also, below is a list of ADHD tips and SPECIAL messages to remember! With much gratitude! Angela, Elizabeth, and Ruth

Patterns of Power
We had a great learning opportunity with Dr. Bissell and Jennifer Gillespie around how Patterns of Power can strengthen grammar and conventions in writing. Here is a hierarchy of urgent conventions that Dr. Bissell referred to. I'd love to work alongside you to thin-slice your writing to see what lessons would benefit your writers in whole group, small group, and individually. Send me an email if you'd like to work on this together.RTI
