Congratulations to our GHS Volleyball Team. Our girls were named the Regional Champions, Sub-State Champions and qualified for the KSHSAA State Championships.

"This is a reminder that a representative from Labette Community College will be here on Thursday, November 5th to enroll students for this coming spring semester at LCC. The representative will be here from 1:00 - 3:00 pm, this Thursday in the College Room."

Recently, our SAFE team conducted baseline surveys on seatbelt use and distracted driving. During this time, the SAFE Team Members were looking for high school students drivers or passengers that were wearing their seatbelts and driving without distractions. Out of the 115 cars we were able to document, 87% of the students were wearing their seatbelts, and 2% were driving distracted. While we obviously want the numbers to be 100% and 0%, we feel these numbers were great!

As a reminder, our school district provides an early release for all students on Fridays, with the students being dismissed at 2:30.

The Galena Virtual School is now enrolling students for 2026-2027 School Year. This program provides exciting opportunities for both high school students and adults that are looking for a virtual opportunity to earn their high school diploma!

The Galena Virtual School Learning Platform is through an online curriculum that meets or exceeds the Kansas Standards and is approved and accredited by the Kansas State Department of Education. All Galena Virtual School students that meet the requirements for graduation will receive a Galena High School Diploma.
