🏀 FUN FACT CORNER: WNBA Pre-Season Is HERE!
Ms. Battle and I are both Chicago Sky Season Ticket Holders, which is where we first met back in the day and the 2026 WNBA season is heating up! We are so excited! The league now features 14 teams, including two brand-new expansion franchises — the Toronto Tempo (Canada's first-ever WNBA team! 🇨🇦) and the Portland Fire. Pre-season action is already underway, with the Indiana Fever, Las Vegas Aces, and Golden State Valkyries among the exciting teams tipping off this week. The regular season will kickstart in the weeks ahead and this is the perfect time to talk about teamwork, perseverance, and girl power with your little ones!

🌸 MAY IS AAPI HERITAGE MONTH!
May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month — a beautiful time to celebrate the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities across the United States. From trailblazing scientists and artists to community leaders and everyday heroes, AAPI individuals have shaped our country in so many ways! This month, we'll be weaving in stories, art, food, and traditions to honor and explore these incredible communities together. We can't wait to learn and celebrate alongside you! (See AAPI Invitation Event below)
Best,
AP Ernvall
