Hello, RCS Middle School Parents & Guardians of 8th Grade Students!
This year, the 8th grade class is planning an end of the year field trip to Cooperstown!
Date: Wednesday, May 17, 2023
Time: Leave the MS approximately 7:30 am; return to the MS approximately 4:30 pm. Student will take the 5:00 bus home or be picked up at the MS around this time.
Transportation: Adirondack Trailways Bus
Cost to the families: $0
While in Cooperstown, students will experience:
- The Baseball Hall of Fame
- The Farmer's Museum which includes a petting zoo with baby animals, a carousel, a day in the life of a 19th century village and much more!
- Lunch/recreational time with friends out in the village
In order to be eligible to attend the field trip, students must adhere to the policies put forth in the middle school handbook (full document attached to this newsletter).
"Any student with a referral within three weeks of this trip* OR who is failing two or more classes may not be able to attend. This is at the discretion of the administration and field trip organizers. Students will not be excluded from field trips for monetary reasons."

*For this field trip, three weeks prior will be April 26, 2023 through May 17, 2023
Please check with your child for their copy of the permission form, which is attached to this newsletter. Permission slips must be returned by April 28, 2023.
