IXL

Students who were enrolled at RMS for the 2024-2025 school year will have access to IXL, the award-winning online learning program, until July 15! With thousands of interactive skills, IXL is a fun way for your child to keep their momentum going and prevent learning loss over the summer break.

HOW DO I CHECK MY CHILD’S PROGRESS?

1. Sign in to your child’s account and select the “Analytics” tab.

2. You’ll be taken to your child’s Student Summary report.

3. Review the list of accomplishments and skills to work on.

4. Encourage your child to keep learning!

Log on to IXL through Classlink.

Summer Reading

Summer reading is important for maintaining and enhancing literacy skills preventing summer learning loss, and fostering a love of reading. The district is partnering with the Middle Georgia Regional Library. Their summer reading goal is 25 hours of reading for the summer. For more information, click on their summer reading page here.

Rutland Middle School will be celebrating those students who complete the goal of reading at least 25 hours this summer.

Various resources will be available to students to engage in summer reading, including access to digital books and read alouds by district students and staff. Students simply need to log their time via the digital logs or paper logs. GOAL: 25 hours - 30 minutes a day. We will have prizes and rewards for students that turn in their reading logs by August 14.
