  3. b. To "PASS" the book study:

    1. Write a reflection: To account for time, individual teachers must write a reflection of their learning that includes the following:

  • A Brief Synopsis of the book/component that was studied: What was read? What was learned? How did this impact your understanding of the topic?

  • Reflect on Practice: How did this influence your practice? What did you implement in your classroom as a result of this influence and a brief description of the results of those changes.

  • Align to Framework for Teaching: Describe how the components in the book(s) and or/ video(s) aligns to the SD Framework for Teaching (Danielson) OR how the components in the book(s) and or/ video(s) align to specific target areas of the teacher’s previous evaluation.

  • Submit reflections to the designated Google Classroom

*Some Book Study groups chose to discuss and record notes while others chose the online format of question and response per book chapter. These will be accepted if they demonstrate consistent engagement and meet the above requirements of reflecting on practice.
