TK and Kindergarten Round-Up (Begins 2/1/26)
Do you have a child turning four on on before September 1, 2026? If you do, they are eligible for Transitional Kindergarten (TK). This program is designed to bridge developmental readiness from preschool to Kindergarten. Our program and wonderful teachers focus on play-based learning and making new friends. It is a great start for your child to be successful in kindergarten. Please check out the new flier for more details.

Community Forum (Final Notice)
You are invited to participate in our Future Focused Forum on Wednesday, February 4, from 6:00–6:45 p.m., held immediately following the Vinewood Parent Club meeting (5:30–6:00 p.m.). Both meetings will take place in Vinewood’s Cafeteria.
The feedback that comes from this forum will be directly used to identify the five focus areas of Lodi Unified School District. These focus areas will then be used during a two-day workshop to guide the development of the strategic plan. Once completed, it will guide and inform the district’s priorities, goals, and decisions over the next five years. In order to do this well, we need feedback from all of our community members.
Important details:
This discussion portion is for adults only.
The district is collecting student input through other avenues.
Childcare will be available from 5:30–6:45 p.m.
Sandwiches/wraps, fruit, cookies, and drinks will be provided.
You are welcome to attend both the Parent Club meeting and the Community Forum.
As a district, we are committed to gathering insight and feedback from as many individuals in our community as possible. That’s why over the course of the next two months, every school site in Lodi Unified will be holding one of these forums. If you are unable to attend our forum, a follow up survey will be sent for you to participate in based on the forum outcomes. If you have multiple children in the district attending different schools, you do not need to attend each different forum (though you can if you want to!).
We hope to see you at our community’s forum on February 4. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Pet Supply Drive's Final Day Challenge
I would like to thank all the students and staff who have been able to donate pet supplies for our drive. Unfortunately we have not hit our goal. We are asking if every student could bring in 1 can of dog food and 1 can of cat food if they have not had a chance to bring in a donated item. We will be extending the drive until Monday, February 2.

There are some changes from the years past.
1. The first day of school is Friday, July 24th.
2. We will have the whole week off during the Thanksgiving.
Open Enrollment for 2026-2027 School Year
The Board of Education of LUSD Policy 5116.1 regarding Intradistrict Open Enrollment requires us to notify parents of this option at the beginning of each school year. Existing law requires each child is to attend the school in which the residence of the parent or legal guardian is located. Assembly Bill No. 1114 adopted July 20, 1993, required that the governing board of each school district establish a policy of open enrollment within the district.
A child already attending school in the district may request an Open Enrollment agreement to attend another school in the district outside of their attendance area. Pursuant to the policy, an Intradistrict Open Enrollment request can be filed starting December 1st, 2025, and no later than February 1st, 2026, for next year’s enrollment. New students registering for transitional kindergarten (TK) and kindergarten begins February 1st, 2026, and have a deadline of February 14th, 2026, to turn in the request.
In K-6 and K-8 schools, applications must be submitted each year. In high schools and middle schools, once the application is approved, it is valid for the remaining years.
