Bransford Elementary Mission Statement Bransford Elementary Mission Statement

To create a positive learning environment for all students that integrates the Arts into Education.

Greetings from Ms. Gerdes Greetings from Ms. Gerdes

Howdy Bransford Families,

Our Texans rock! They also ROLL! Our EDUSkate Event to kick off One School One Book was totally awesome! All Texan families should have their book "Magic Tree House Merlin Missions: Soccer on Sunday" as well as all of our staff. The goal of One School One Book (OSOB) is to provide an opportunity for all staff, students, and families to engage in project that everyone can talk about and refer to. For example, Officer Grisso can read the book and talk with our students about it when he sees them on campus - or - families can read the book together at home to discuss the story - or - students can chat about the story at school, etc. It provides a common topic for all to connect to. Mrs. Brock works very hard to provide fun trivia and prizes for students who participate. We love to encourage the love of reading for enjoyment and hope this hooks in some new readers. The EDUSkate crew (a family operated business, owned by a former educator) was SO blown away by the turn out of our families and commented many times on how respectful our students are. They said at most events several pieces of equipment get destroyed but not at Bransford! Our students are so respectful of equipment AND they put everything away perfectly! Thank you!

We are moving into Testing Season this week. On Thursday, 1/22, our 5th graders will take the Science Interim Test. On interim testing days, we run our campus like it is a STAAR testing day. Please note, this means we will have a CLOSED CAMPUS. When our campus is closed, it means no volunteers, no lunch visitors, etc. Any items forgotten can be placed on the 'Forget Me Not' table and we will notify the teacher, just like any day. If you have any questions regarding our closed campus, please do not hesitate to ask.

This week, your child brought home a permission slip to attend our All School Field Trip to Colleyville Heritage High School. We are all getting on buses and traveling down the road to watch Seussical the Musical at CHHS. Several of our very own Texans are in the show and we are excited to support them as well as enjoy the show together. Our campus is covering the transportation cost however your child must have a completed form to attend. Since all staff are attending, we are not in need of any chaperones. If you have any questions, please reach out to me.

I wish all our Texans a most amazing three-day weekend. Have a safe, relaxing time together! We will see our Texans on Tuesday.

All My BESt,

Ms. Gerdes

ps Small request for cars in the dismissal car line: please be sure your name sign is visible in your dash. It is very helpful when the name/s and grade/s are in bold so we can read it (especially those that have old eyes like me) Thank you!

Dear Parent,

Below you will find a copy of the State of Texas 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 School Report Cards for Bransford Elementary School. This report is required by the Texas Legislature and prepared by the Texas Education Agency. It is to be sent to the parent or guardian of every child enrolled in a Texas public school. The report provides information concerning student performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®), College, Career, and Military Readiness, as well as information on student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures.

Due to judicial proceedings, the release of the 2024 School Report Card was significantly delayed.

The information contained in the School Report Card is required by state law and much of the technical language used is defined and described in the enclosed “2024 School Report Card Definitions” and “2025 School Report Card Definitions.”The report for our school may or may not have all the information described because the information presented depends on whether the school is an elementary, middle, or high school.

State law requires that the School Report Card display information about the state, the district, and the school. Where possible, the information must be reported by race/ethnicity and socioeconomic status of the students and must include at least two years of results.

The School Report Cards can be found online at TEA School Report Card.
