IMPORTANT DATES
June 2026
17: Last Day of School, Single Session Day
AROUND THE CLASSROOMS
Mr. Dan's Class: Students are looking forward to tie-dying t-shirts outside this week
Miss Kisker: To review everything we learned in phonics this year, students designed their own board games to play with their family and friends. They loved choosing their own words, coming up with a theme, and creating game pieces.
Mrs. Abramov, School Librarian: In library class the past two weeks I read the folktales Henny Penny and Chicken Little. This week your child listened to a story called The Sky Is Falling by Mark Teague. The messages from these folktales are one, do not overreact when something happens - stay calm and think things through and two, don't believe what someone tells you without first checking the facts - think and question. The Sky Is Falling is a fun spin on the folktale. The farm animals danced popular dances like the Moonwalk, the Twist, the Limbo, Tango, Waltz, Hokey Pokey to trick the fox. Find out from your child what happened to the fox in the end. After listening to the story your child watched a video on how to do the Moonwalk and the Twist. Try these dances at home for fun. If your child did not return the library book, it is due back as soon as possible. Thank you for all your support with reading this year! I hope your child enjoyed all of the books that were checked out.
